Interested in Testing the New iOS or Android Apps?

5/20/2020 in ClearCheckbook Updates

We're happy to announce that we're ready to start beta testing the new version of both the iOS and Android apps!

If you have an Android or iOS device and would like to test the new version of the ClearCheckbook mobile app, we're looking for testers!

Both apps have been completely rebuilt and offer a much better user experience with less syncing issues and quicker access to the information you need. Those of you who currently use the Android app will find the new version of both the iOS and Android app very familiar. The new versions of the apps are based on the same code and have a very similar graphical feel.

If you'd like to test out one of the new versions of the app, please fill out the following form with your email address and which platform you'd like to test: https://forms.gle/XSSBhgw1rw6EcR7v7

Note: We will not use your email address for any other purposes aside from adding you to either TestFlight in the iOS App Store or the beta program in the Google Play store and to possibly reach out to you if we notice any errors associated with your testing.

Syncing Issues with the iOS and Android apps

4/16/2020 in ClearCheckbook Updates
Many users are experiencing syncing issues with both the iOS and Android apps. We are currently rebuilding both of these apps and greatly improving all of the syncing functionality and fixing a lot of bugs that have popped up.

Because the current versions of the apps are no longer being developed, we recommend simply visiting https://www.clearcheckbook.com from the browser on your phone and managing your finances through there for the next month or so until the new versions of the apps are released.

If you are experiencing syncing issues the only solution right now is to sign out and then sign back into the app. Unfortunately, if there are transactions on your phones that don't appear on the website, those transactions are not going to sync and will be lost in the sign out / sign in process. Before logging out and then logging back in you'll want to look for any transactions that have a cloud icon next to them and re-enter them via the website.

Again, we strongly suggest not using the apps due to these stability issues until the new versions have been launched. We're sorry for any inconvenience and are working as hard as we can to get the new versions out.
