How to import data from GnuCash?
How can I exchange data between the site my local GnuCash database.
http://www.gnucash.org/
I used it for several months and split many transaction into item details. And I really don't want to split them again.
GnuCash cannot export to QIF or OFX, althought, it can import them, this is the one of the reasons I looking for other system. GnuCash database can be stored in an XML file, which is not hard to understand.
There is a tool to transfer GnuCash XML data into QIF, however, all the item details are lost, or be treated as an individual transaction.
Is there a way to import GnuCash data into this system? Or is that possible to support GnuCash xml format for the import? Is there any format, QIF, OFX or whatever support contain transations with split item details information?

Your best bet is to export the data so that it ends up a CSV. You can import CSV into Clearcheckbook.
Follow the instructions here: http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FAQ#Q:_How_can_I_export_data.3F
Then once you open the HTML in Excel, save as a CSV file. I am not sure how rudimentary the output would be, but the example given (2006-09-27,ONLINE BILL PAYMENT: Bank of Example 123938568,250.00) Looks like it would bring in about all your data less the categories. That is unless you can get the category to appear in the General Ledger, then you should be good to go.

Dear Ones,
I have tried importing from GnuCash.
I've tried GnuCashToQIF-1.5. It didn't work. It made gibberish out of my Hebrew.
In order to try the CSV import, I have to sign up for a premium membership. That sucks.

You can get a premium subscription for $12 and import your CSV during the 3 month subscription. You can still use that data after the premium subscription expires. So getting what you need for $12 and still being allowed to utilize the data when it expires hardly sucks. Expecting something for nothing.....that kind of does.
You can also sign up for premium, try it, if it does not work, they will refund your money.
