We fixed the issues that were causing a few problems in the latest version of IE9. One of the issues was moving gadgets on the Dashboard page and the other was properly viewing reports. Both of these issues have been tested and resolved.
If anyone using IE9 experiences any other anomalies on the site, please let us know and we'll work on getting those fixed.
Do you find yourself searching with the same search criteria on a regular basis? Are you constantly creating the same custom report over and over? Well now you don't have to! We're proud to announce the release of a feature that lets you save your searches and custom reports.
From the Search page or the Custom Reports page, you will now see a 'Saved Searches' or 'Saved Reports' link below the search box. If you click on that link, it will expand a box that shows you any saved searches you've created and lets you save new search criteria.
To save a new search, simply enter your search criteria and click the Search button. After that, click the Saved Searches link and enter a name for your new search criteria, then click Save. It's as easy as that!
The Saved Searches and Saved Reports work interchangeably, so if you save a custom search, you can pull that criteria up on the custom reports page and vice versa.
This feature is available to anyone with an active premium membership. Give the new feature a try and let us know what you think!
We have updated the Estimated Future Balances tool so it now shows a true list of future transactions and a running future balance next to them. This should make the tool much more user friendly now and make finding your future balance for a given date in the future much easier.
We have updated the main site and the mobile optimized site with the updates. We have a few more updates planned for this tool, but wanted to get this launched, as many people have been requesting this lately.
We are proud to announce the ability to check for duplicate transactions when you import files into the site. This feature has been highly requested and we're glad you can finally start using it.
When you import a file into ClearCheckbook, you can now click a button at the top of the verification page to "Check for Duplicates." After clicking on this button, it will search through all your imported transactions and all the transactions you've entered in the site and try to find any duplicates based on a set of filter criteria.
You can change the filter criteria that adjusts the amount range and day range surrounding each of your imported transactions. This is helpful in case you've already added a transaction to your register, but it's also included in your imported file with a different date.
If the search finds any duplicate transactions, you can easily delete the duplicate before it gets added to your register.
This feature is available to any member that has an active Premium Membership.
We have gone back and completely re-written the Import Transaction functionality. This update includes several bug fixes and improvements. Below are some of the updates and fixes we made to the import tool.
Updates
- Improved handling of importing QIF, OFX and QFX files.
- All fields are searched in QIF, OFX and QFX files, not just the first entry.
- Ability to correctly import CSV files with separate Debit and Credit columns.
- Improved handling of importing splits and transfers.
- Doesn't automatically add categories or accounts until you verify the transactions in case you mis-assign a field.
- Better automatic field matching.
- Warnings if we think you mis-assigned a field.
- Better editing of imported transactions.
All of these updates should make the import tool a lot more robust and usable. Please give it a try and let us know if you run into any issues or have any suggestions for future improvements to the import tool.
